Fiscal Year in Review
Giving Results
The 2023 fiscal year (July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023) was one of new beginnings at Ursinus, and our Bears rallied to support the college, its leadership, and the forward progress being made. We closed FY23 by raising $13,538,037 in total gifts received from 2,898 donors.
This includes more than $2.8 million for our Ursinus Fund, a vital source of mission-critical funding for the college. Additionally, $277,285 in
cash and securities was donated to our Bear2Bear Student Emergency Fund and $177,579 was given to the new President’s Priorities Fund.

The Ursinus Fund
What’s in a name? “U!” In January 2023, Ursinus College’s Annual Fund was renamed the Ursinus Fund. The rebranding was initiated to better communicate the impact of annual giving on the entire Ursinus experience.
The message to donors: When you give to the Ursinus Fund, you are there supporting students on every step of their journey. Without “U,” there is no us!
The Ursinus Fund provides flexible, mission-critical funding that has an immediate impact on our community. It supports scholarships and financial aid, student and faculty research partnerships, internships, athletics, campus beautification… everything that makes Ursinus special.
In the 2022-2023 academic year, our community stepped up in a big way, raising more than $2.8 million for the Ursinus Fund.
About the Endowment
Like many colleges, Ursinus College’s long-term fiscal plan—and strength—is tied to its endowment. Endowed funds are invested, with income spent each year to support a range of priorities, including scholarships, professorships, student enrichment, capital maintenance, academics, and general operating support. Through prudent investment, these funds are modeled to grow over time and exist in perpetuity. They also allow donors to put their own names—or someone else’s—on a fund and honor a legacy of support indefinitely into the future.
Market Value of Endowment at June 30, 2023:
$146.8 million
