Social Justice Scholars

Each year we enroll five incoming students designated as Social Justice Scholars, who will receive a scholarship worth $8,000 per year.  This scholarship is renewable for all four years provided the students remain in good academic standing.

As the name suggests, Social Justice Scholars are passionate about making an impact, are interested in social justice, and possess a fervent desire to better the world around them.

There is no academic requirement to formalize participation, rather it is expected that these students will be pillars in the social justice community and organizations around campus regardless of their formal academic major.

Social Justice Scholars will have the opportunity engage closely with our Peace Core Prep program, as well as the Melrose Center for Civic Engagement, which seeks to develop future global leaders through unprecedented learning opportunities that will allow students to engage with global leaders to help enact social change.
