Exit Interviews. Sign up for an exit interview in the Center for International Programs to reflect on your experiences abroad.
Peer Advising. Join the Ursinus Study Abroad Peer Advisers group, which connects students who have studied abroad with those who are planning to study abroad. Returning students serve as mentors, assist in the application process, and answer questions about life abroad. You can participate in this group as much or as little as your schedule allows. Drop by Bomberger 104 to learn more.
Campus Life. Get involved in the many clubs and organizations that focus on international or intercultural themes: Musser House, International Students Organization, ALMA, Language Tables, SUN, SASA, etc.
Make your mark. Why not create a group, club or event that fills a need that’s not being met? A study abroad SPINT house? Study abroad club? Study abroad film and lecture series? If you want to make your mark on study abroad at Ursinus, contact the Center for International Programs.
Study Abroad Photo Contest. We want your photos from study abroad to put on display in the Center for International Programs. Contact Paula Álvarez Tamés or visit Bomberger 104 to learn details. All entries must follow the college’s Responsible Use guidelines. Photos may be displayed on campus and/or on the Study Abroad website.

Go to Glimpse Abroad, a study abroad magazine and online journal. Glimpse offers an annual fall writing contest (deadline usually early November) and spring photo contest (deadline usually mid-April). Winners receive cash or other prizes and see their work published in the magazine.

Go to NAFSA Association of International Educators to learn about their Student Diplomat Essay Competition. The winning essay will be published in Abroad View magazine and the winner will receive a cash prize and travel voucher.
The Forum on Education Abroad, hosted by Dickinson College, publishes Frontiers, an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal of study abroad. Each year it puts out a Special Issue: Undergraduate Research Abroad. In addition, student winners are invited to present their work in front of an international audience of education abroad professionals at the annual Forum on Education Abroad conference.
Enter the Study in Australia: Video Contest sponsored by the Australian Education International North America. The contest runs in late spring. Top prizes are (grand prize) round-trip plane tickets to Australia, (second) travel vouchers, and (third) ipod Touch.

Every year an area college or university hosts the Delaware Valley Study Abroad Re-Entry Conference. For a nominal fee, student participants have the opportunity to attend the half-day conference and meet with many other returnees from colleges and universities all over the Delaware Valley, learn about opportunities to work, volunteer and study abroad before and after graduation, hear about international careers and have lunch.
Teach Abroad. One way to go abroad again is through teaching English. Two programs you may want to consider are Council on International Education Exchange, which has year-long programs in Chile, China, Spain and Thailand; and JET Japan and Teaching English Programme.
International Internships or International Careers. Contact the Office of Career and Post-Graduate Development to get tips on how to highlight your study abroad experience in your résumé, land an international internship, and explore international careers. Work, Teach or Volunteer Abroad. BUNAC offers a range of programs from summer camp counseling in the USA and Canada to work or volunteer programs in Canada, the USA, Australia and New Zealand, Cambodia, South Africa and Ghana; as well as a range of worldwide teaching overseas placements in the USA, China and many more destinations.
Seek an international internship in the U.S. One example is Australian Education International, which is located at the Embassy of Australia in Washington, D.C., and offers paid summer internships. The deadline for applications is May 1. Interested students and recent graduates should click here for instructions on how to apply.

APPLY FOR A WATSON! What better way to win $30,000 to go abroad for a full year and pursue a personal passion? Students apply in the fall semester of their senior year, but it’s never too early to get started. Contact the Center for International Programs to learn more.
Fulbright Grants for Research or Teaching English Abroad. Awardees are chosen for their academic merit and leadership potential and earn the opportunity to study and teach in each other’s countries, exchange ideas and develop joint solutions to address shared concerns. Fulbright Grants provide transportation, tuition and maintenance for study abroad for one year. Besides the Fulbright grants for research, there are also Fulbright English Teaching Assistantships available. Contact Dr. Kneia DaCosta for more info.
Institute for International Public Policy Fellowships. The focus is on providing quality education and practice opportunities to minority students beginning in their sophomore year of college. The fellowship includes funding for participation in summer institutes, a junior year study abroad program, an internship, and graduate study. Contact Dr. Kneia DaCosta for more info.
