UCrew
Ursinus Cultivating Respect, Education, and Wellness
Vision
To create a culture at Ursinus College where students:
- feel safe and supported in the social environment - never judged or pressured to consume alcohol or other drugs and never judged if seeking support for mental health
- consider their overall wellness when making behavioral choices and the impact of their decisions on others in the community
- step up to help others in need
Mission
Peer Educators are a group of trained student leaders who raise awareness within their own communities about wellness and the impact of substances through using evidence-based and effective strategies. The group promotes health and wellness while educating about harm reduction to help students live happy and healthy lives.

Take the No Show Pledge
“We believe there is No Shame in getting help or in talking about mental health and Substance Use Disorder. Join us in creating a movement by signing our pledge to end stigma and support others in speaking up about their own disorders” - Sophie Louis, team leader of UCrew

This new group of student peer educators was developed out of a grant from the state in Fall 2020. Seven students were selected out of a competitive pool of over 20 who applied. The students went through a 10-hour training in fall 2020 to become Nationally Certified Peer Educators and met weekly throughout the fall semester to continue developing their understanding and skills.
The group will be sharing their knowledge and experience with the campus community in a variety of ways over the upcoming year.
