Staff members Angela Upright and Joanna Timmerman represented Ursinus at the University of Pennsylvania on March 8th, delivering a dynamic presentation about the collaboration between the Ursinus Center for Advocacy, Responsibility, and Engagement (UCARE) and the Office of Disability and Access (ODA).

The Office of Disability & Access, with the support of the Arts & Lectures Committee and the Division of Inclusion & Community Engagement, welcomed guest lecturer Adam Meyer to campus on Friday, September 8th for a presentation about our cultural assumptions surrounding disability and accessibility on college campuses.

On November 29th, UC Possibilities student organization hosted an event centered around digital accessibility. Attendees received information from a few campus experts and came away with more information about the regulations around digital accessibility, how to engage in more inclusive digital practices, and resources available to them for access and success in the classroom.

Disability and Access staff member Joanna Timmerman represented Ursinus College at the Association for Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD) in Texas on March 27th, delivering a presentation about emotional support animal policies and trends.

Staff members Dee Singley, Kate Keppen, and Joanna Timmerman represented Ursinus at the University of Pennsylvania on March 10th, delivering two presentations on the innovative work happening on campus.

Supported by an Inclusive Community Grant, the Invisibility to VisAbility Fair was an event initiated by UC Possibilities, a new student-run group under disability services. The fair, much like the organization itself, aimed to raise awareness and promote acceptance of hidden disabilities, both mental and physical.
