What Bonner Means to Me

I have been involved in community service all my life, and was looking to continue this path in college. The Bonner program gave me the incredible opportunity to join as a freshman, and I have been able to broaden my passions for service through many unique and educational experiences. The group is full of welcoming and like-minded individuals who want to better the world, and the work put in by the team is phenomenal.

Memorable Moment in Bonner

I have had the privilege of hosting a few blood drives here at Ursinus, in partnership with the Red Cross. For these drives, I lead educational events to teach students and prospective donors about the process of donating, why it’s important, and the greater implications of blood donation. The excitement and engagement from my peers will always stand out to me, as they are eager to learn more about various methods of service.

Advice for Prospective Ursinus Service Leaders

This is an opportunity that has truly changed my life and taught me lessons I would otherwise not have had the chance to learn. I would advise students to soak in the opportunity and take each service trip, class, or story as a chance to learn not only about the world and community around them, but also about themselves as a leader and a person dedicated to helping others.
