What do you love most about Ursinus?

The community within the student body and the support from the faculty. It creates an enabling environment to push yourself academically and explore your interests.

What opportunities have you had to explore and grow your passions at Ursinus?

The HEP department has been a massive help towards my career goals. Because I am studying to be a physical therapist, I have been able to take advanced classes that dive deeply into physiological and clinical applications. The hands-on experience I have already accumulated makes me confident for the next steps of my education.

Outside of class, I make myself busy by working for both our Admissions department and our TLI, organizations that benefit current and prospective students. I was excited to get involved, and it was easy to learn about the institutions and apply. I’m happy to accrue work experience and make some cash on the side while at school. In my free time, I have been able to continue my passion for sports through the intramural programs. Anyone who is interested can easily join, no matter if they are casual or competitive player.

When did you first discover Ursinus was the right fit for you?

Ursinus was the first school I ever toured, and after a few months of visiting others along the east coast, I returned for the Admitted Students Day. Everything clicked, and I knew that Ursinus was the right fit for me since they were strong in my major, academically supportive, and community based. My first two years have continued to confirm that I made the right choice.

What has been your favorite experience at Ursinus so far?

I really enjoy COSA (Celebration for Student Achievement) every year. We get the day to walk around campus and see presentations, award ceremonies, and research findings given by/given to students. I remember it being a really cool feeling to see my friends succeed in their focuses and to be acknowledged for my successes as well. It inspires me to do my best.

Advice for incoming students:

College is a great place to learn about your studies, but it’s a better place to learn about yourself. My advice is to jump at opportunities that come your way: talk to that person, try that class, join that club. Especially here at Ursinus, building those connections will help take you far!
