About

Kisha Patel is a Attorney in Raleigh, North Carolina. Kisha graduated from Ursinus College in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Gender/Women’s Studies. While at Ursinus, Kisha was involved in the pre-legal society and the Mock Trial team. She conducted independent research and wrote an Honor’s thesis at Ursinus entitled, “My Body, Not My Say: How Roe v. Wade Endangers Women’s Autonomy” (discussing the Constitutional limitations of Roe v. Wade and the privacy doctrine and its effect on the regulation of reproductive freedom in the law).

After Ursinus, Kisha went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While in law school Kisha competed in multiple mock trial and oral argument competitions. Kisha did over 300 hours of volunteer legal work while pursuing her JD.

Kisha is now practicing family law in North Carolina and represents clients in all areas of family law including child custody, child support, alimony, domestic violence, equitable distribution, divorce, mediation, separation agreements, and adoptions. Kisha also is the Title IX Investigator at William Peace University and assists the University in investigating potential violations of federal Title IX policy.

Outside of work, Kisha serves on the Graduates of the Last Decade council at Ursinus and serves on the Board of Trustees for Hugh O’ Brian Youth Leadership Maryland. Kisha also is a member of the Junior League and volunteers in her local community with the League.
