About our research
Working with Dr. Pfennig our research examines metal-ligand charge transfers in a supramolecular coordination compound to demonstrate long-lived charged separated states.
My experience with research
I love being able to go into the laboratory and see the connections between the classroom and my own personal project! While some days are challenging, it is always rewarding to see the progress I have made and the feeling of accomplishment after getting new results.
Research has definitely opened a new window of interest in my life. While I plan to pursue medicine following my time at Ursinus, I am more interested in doing research in addition to practicing medicine now. Since I enjoyed the research I have done thus far at Ursinus, I spent my last summer as a research assistant in the Emergency Room at Cooper University Hospital.

My Experience
Ursinus’s chemistry department has changed my life! I never would have thought I would be a chemistry major, but the resources and sense of family the department have provided is amazing.
Life After Ursinus
After Ursinus College, I plan on attending medical school. I am interested in orthopedic surgery, but things change (we will see!)
