Humanity in Action

Description

This fellowship (HIA) brings together international groups of students and recent graduates from the U.S., Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denmark, France, Greece, the Netherlands, Poland and Ukraine to explore historical and contemporary issues of human rights, diversity, and active and responsible citizenship.  The fellowship seeks to educate, connect and inspire the world’s future leaders in the fields of human rights and social justice.Fellows participate in month-long fellowship programs in one of five European cities (Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Paris or Warsaw) where they study these issues collaboratively within the historical and national context of their placements.  Each program is highly interdisciplinary and features opportunities such as daily seminars and site visits.

HIA invites applications from university students and recent graduates who are intellectually gifted, mature, and passionate about human rights, diversity and active and responsible citizenship.  Sophomores, juniors, seniors  and graduates one or two years beyond graduation are eligible to apply.
