Pastors & Patriots: The Muhlenberg Catalog of Pennsylvania

September 6, 2011 will mark the 300th anniversary of the birth of Henry Melchior Muhlenberg, patriarch of the Lutheran Church in America and progenitor of one of the most influential Pennsylvania German families in history. To celebrate this occasion, a series of special events have been planned by the Historic Muhlenberg Partnership – an alliance of Augustus Lutheran Church, the Historical Society of Trappe (Henry Muhlenberg House), Trappe Borough, and Ursinus College. The Berman Museum of Art exhibition was curated by Lisa Minardi UC ’04, a Muhlenberg historian, president of the Speaker’s House, and assistant curator, Winterthur Museum.

We are grateful to The Shelley Pennsylvania German Heritage Fund for their generous support of this exhibition, catalogue, and educational programming. Exhibitions and programs are funded in part by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and Epps Advertising.

All Berman exhibitions and programs are free and open to the public
