Student Researchers Travel to Rice University to Present Results
This fall, senior chemistry majors Alexandra Bender and Julia Shoemaker presented the results of their undergraduate research projects at the Gulf Coast Undergraduate Research Symposium (GCURS) hosted by Rice University.
GCURS is one of the longest-running and most prestigious undergraduate research conferences in the southeast. Alex and Julia each gave 10-15 minute oral presentations and received feedback from faculty mentors. Their participation was made possible through support of the Andrews Family Fellowship, which support Ursinus students in the physical sciences and mathematics through summer research opportunities, conference travel funding, and debt forgiveness upon graduation.
