ACLAMO Family Center
ACLAMO Family Center is a Latino community center in the heart of Norristown that provides tutoring opportunities for kids grade K-8.
Use your teaching skills to help children learn to love learning.
ACLAMO stands for Accion Comunal Latinoamericana de Montgomery County, or the Latin American Action Committee of Montgomery County. ACLAMO is also derived from the Spanish verb “aclamar,” which means “to proclaim, to shout forth.” We want our community to know that they, too, can achieve the American Dream of success.
The mission of the After-School Program is to foster school achievement through a combination of remediation, enrichment and language support as needed.
Travis says, “I have taught a science class, made a garden with the kids, and come up with clever ways to teach the children.” Hope you can join us.
Volunteer Times: Monday 2:30PM to 6PM
