Community Borrowers
Welcome to the Myrin Library!
Members of the local community are welcome to use the library at any time during operating hours.
We subscribe to several local, national, and international newspapers, have current and back issues of many scholarly journals and magazines, and are always adding to our collection of books. Please consult our catalog to search for materials. Patrons are encouraged to consult the Librarians with any questions and for research help.
Borrowing: If you would like to borrow materials from the Library, please visit the Circulation Desk with a valid I.D. showing a local address. For a fee of $25 per year you can borrow books and audiovisual materials (maximum of 10 items, 2 of which may be audiovisual). This membership does NOT include computer use or access to our databases. Please be considerate of due dates, as patrons will be charged a replacement fee for any item 28 days or more late. As our primary focus must remain on having resources available for our current undergraduate students, we cannot offer renewals to community borrowers.
Computers: In the library, you can search our catalog or access the Internet at the community-use computer at the Circulation Desk. If you wish to use your own laptop, you are welcome to bring it and connect to the Ursinus Public wireless network. Unfortunately, there are no public computers available for personal use with items such as flash drives or external hard drives, and we are unable to loan Ethernet cords.
Government Documents: We are a federal depository library receiving both federal and state government publications. If you need assistance locating government materials, please contact Kerry Gibson at kgibson@ursinus.edu. The Library also provides this webpage of useful links to government information.
We welcome you to the Myrin Library.
