Judith A. Rippert, D.O., FACC, '86

Judith Rippert, D.O., Class of 1986, has been a leader in the field of cardiology for more than three decades. Rippert completed her fellowship at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia in 1997 and started in private practice. In 2006, she co-founded Delaware Heart & Vascular, which would become part of Delaware’s Bayhealth Heart & Vascular Network. Preparing the next generation of cardiologists is a top priority for Rippert. As she put it, “There is nothing more rewarding than passing my skills to the next generation through teaching and mentoring.”

As one of the top board-certified cardiologists in the state of Delaware, Dr. Rippert has lectured across the country and has won several awards in her field, including the Medical Society of Delaware’s Young Physician Award and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Teacher of the Year.

For Rippert, her transformative Ursinus experience has been integral to her success and given her access to a wealth of knowledge and support that she continues to draw from today. She was a biology major, a four-year athlete in field hockey, basketball, and softball, and as a senior was president of Tau Sigma Gamma. In her words, “Ursinus’s academic life, combined with the lifelong friendships I have made, prepared and propelled me throughout my career.”
