Jumpstart
Do you want to take your ideas to the next level? The U-Imagine Center’s Jumpstart program is committed to making your ideas really happen.
What is Jumpstart?
Jumpstart is a six week, co-curricular program structured to help students evolve their ideas into real brands, products, and services. No matter what the stage of your idea is in, Jumpstart is deliberately designed to help you and/or your team members make ideas happen. Jumpstart allows participants to work independently on their own ideas all while collaborating with external resources that extend beyond the scope of the campus.
Being a part of the Jumpstart program has great benefits. You will have exclusive swipe access to the U-Imagine Centers Idea Incubator, otherwise known as IDC 115. The Incubator offers a spacious and interactive workspace, as well as complimentary beverages, snacks, and supplies.
The talented Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Maureen Cumpstone, will offer one-on-one mentorship as well as access to any additional professional mentors that frequently occupy the center. With these valuable resources, you can be assured the Jumpstart program will help you explore your idea, develop a business model, test the market, create an action plan, and launch your project or venture.
As a Jumpstart participant, you will have the chance to enroll in a two-credit independent study course and to apply for a seed fund grant of up to $1000 to support your venture.
