Pre-Engineering

At Ursinus, pre-engineering students are physicists and mathematicians before they are engineers.

The Ursinus College pre-engineering track is proudly affiliated with the following engineering programs:

Students may apply for transfer to our affiliate institutions after completing three years of prescribed work toward a B.A. at Ursinus.  Ursinus will grant the B.A degree in pre-engineering after the student has satisfied the requirements for that degree, usually on satisfactory completion of the fourth year.  The partner institution will grant the engineering degree on satisfactory completion of the fifth year. Participants may optionally pursue the Applied Physics track in the physics major (see the Course Catalog for details) and earn a B.S. from Ursinus.

Students may apply for admission to engineering programs other than Columbia’s. In this case, their program of study should be approved by the Academic Standards and Discipline in order to insure that they will be eligible for a degree from Ursinus.
