It is designed to include cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary perspectives on the experiences and contributions of women, as well as an examination of the challenges and limitations due to gender. The GWSS minor offers students the opportunity to explore these issues by taking specially focused classes in Anthropology, Art, Economics, English, History, Media and Communication Studies, Politics, Religious Studies, Sociology and Theater.
Because gender and sexuality are fundamental to the ways people understand themselves, a minor in Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality Studies can enhance practically any other field of study.
