Born Yesterday

Born Yesterday stars Judy Holliday as Billie Dawn, an unpolished former chorus girl with a talent for gin rummy who discovers her full potential will the help of a journalist (William Holden), who shows her around Washington, D.C. and teaches her the value of American democracy in the process. The 1950 comedic masterpiece by George Cukor based on Garson Kanin’s stage play also stars Broderick Crawford as the corrupt junk dealer and aspiring Congressional insider, Harry Brock.
